PCSAR is a professional, all-volunteer organization committed to finding and helping those that become lost or injured. They work in cooperation with AMMAR Hounds, Pocahontas County C.E.R.T., law enforcement agencies, fire & rescue departments and other first responders. Called out is dispatched by Pocahontas County Emergency Management. PCSAR can also be deployed nationwide if needed. JOIN THE TEAM! PCSAR meets monthly, typically on the last Sunday of every month, and trains frequently, as weather allows, and team members are available.

PCSAR collaborates closely with AMMAR Hounds, an organization that cares for, trains and leads SAR dog teams. If you are interested in assisting with their training or accompanying these teams, let us know and we can arrange it.
